This is the first post on this entire blog! Yippee! I suppose I ought to elaborate on why I created this blog, then.

As said on the About page, I have a lot of thoughts about my experience as an intersex person. Unfortunately, it is near impossible to talk about these to perisex people, because perisex people don't know we exist, so all intersex discussions have to stay on level 1 "here is what that word means" when I would like to have a level 4 discussion of "hey anyone else experience xyz form of bigotry."

Why not have these discussions with other intersex people, then? Hah! I wish! But sadly, it's not just that people don't know what intersex means; it's also that people constantly misuse the word "intersex." Which in practical terms means that whenever I look up intersex stuff outside of official charities, I'm gonna run into 1) futa porn or 2) trans discussions that have nothing to do with intersex people. The only place where I somewhat manage to find discussions that actually relate to intersex folks is on tumblr, and this place is a cesspoll of the dumbest discourses imaginable which I want nothing to do with.

I'm aware I sound quite heated writing this, but imagine if every single time you looked up housing in New York you were redirected to discussions on how to keep a pet cat in Houston. Yeah, I might learn some valuable things about the USA real estate laws, but that's still not what I'm looking for, and even if I know most people don't mean any ill it's still quite annoying.

So I'm making my own space. I'm making this blog. Here I can speak unfiltered about whatever I want without needing to give a 101 on intersex issues first. If you decide to stick around, I hope you'll learn something here!
